It’s a Gold Star for Kentish Oils Jalapeño oil at Great Taste Awards 2024

We’re thrilled to announce that our Kentish Cold-Pressed Rapeseed Oil blended with Jalapeno has won a Gold Star at the Great Taste Awards 2024.

It’s been an exciting few months here at Kentish Oils! We kicked off the summer with a win at the Taste of Kent Awards for our Lemon Oil, followed by moving into our brand-new state-of-the-art factory earlier this month and now we’ve rounded the month off with a Gold Star at the Great Taste Awards 2024.

The Guild of Fine Food Great Taste Awards are the ‘Oscars’ of the food world, they are the largest and most trusted food and drink accreditation scheme in the industry and can be very difficult to achieve their seal of approval.

Products are put to a panel of over 500 industry experts, including chefs, buyers, food writers and retailers and are judged blindly, on taste alone. 

Judges said this about our Cold-Pressed Kentish Oil blended with Jalapeño… 

‘This golden yellow rapeseed oil gives off grassy, vegetal aromas which also come through in taste. The fresh capsicum flavours of the jalapeno arrive gradually but forcefully and hit the back of the throat with a peppery chilli kick that lingers.’ 

Our cold-pressed rapeseed oils are grown here in Kent using specially selected seeds which give our oils a distinctive flavour, along with the individual filtration steps that take place.
